Have you ever wondered how life changes after a serious accident? Let me tell you about my friend Carlos. He have you ever broken a bone? Well, Carlos has last year when he fell off his bike during a race in Medellín.

Since then, he has already spent three months in recovery. He has already had two surgeries and has already started physical therapy, which has helped him regain strength in his leg. Doctors say he has made good progress, but he hasn't fully recovered yet. In fact, he hasn't been discharged from the hospital yet because his wound hasn't healed completely yet. He often asks, "Have you ever felt frustrated waiting to get better?"

I visit him weekly, and we talk about travels we have planned. "Have you ever visited Cartagena?**" he says. "I have already been there twice, but I want to go back once I have fully healed." Carlos has already learned some English phrases during his stay, like "Have you ever tried yoga for pain?" His optimism inspires me. Soon, he will have walked again, and we will have celebrated with a big asado. Recovery takes time, but patience has its rewards.

Tomorrow, Maria has a busy day planned. If she wakes up late, she will miss the bus to work. Her boss always arrives early, so if she is late again, he will give her a warning. After work, she meets friends for dinner. If the restaurant is crowded, they will wait for a table or choose another place. Maria wants to save money, so if prices rise next month, she will switch to a cheaper supermarket. On weekends, she studies English. If she doesn't practice daily, she will forget new vocabulary quickly. Her teacher says practice is key. Tomorrow evening, there's a big storm forecast. If it rains heavily, the streets will flood, and she will stay home instead of going out. Her brother plans a trip. If he doesn't book tickets soon, prices will increase during holidays. Maria advises him to act fast. At home, if the internet goes down during her online class, she will call tech support immediately. Life in the city is unpredictable, but planning helps. If you prepare for problems, you will handle them better. (172 words)

There isn't much guascas herb left in the garden, but a little goes a long way in this traditional soup. He boils everything together with corn on the cob. The Clean City Project

The city was cleaned yesterday by many volunteers. Streets were swept with big brooms early in the morning. Trash was collected from every corner and put into large bins. Old benches were repaired by workers. Parks were painted in bright colors like green and blue. New flowers and trees were planted in the squares by children. They were helped by their teachers. Walls were washed to remove old graffiti. All the work was finished before noon. Prizes were given to the best teams by the mayor. People were invited to a big party in the park. Photos and videos were taken by a photographer. Now, the clean city is visited by tourists every day. It was changed completely. Thank you to everyone who helped make it beautiful!
